Self-Exclusion, Limits and Breaks

Limits and self-exclusion are the brakes of online gambling. They work best when set before they feel necessary. This page explains each tool, how to use it at an online casino such as Dewi888, and where to find help when a tool is not enough.

Cambodia: no national register

In some countries a single national register blocks a person from every licensed gambling site at once. Cambodia has none, because the LMCG does not allow Cambodian citizens to gamble at all and online casino operations in the country are suspended from October 2026. That means any self-exclusion is account by account, set with each operator separately. If you are a Cambodian citizen, the law already gives you the clearest answer: do not gamble online.

Set deposit limit first

To set deposit limit values, open the account settings, find responsible gambling or limits, choose daily, weekly or monthly, enter the amount and confirm. A lower limit applies immediately; a higher one usually waits for a cooling period of a day or more before it takes effect. Choose an amount you would happily spend on any other evening out, not the amount you hope to win back.

Loss limits, wager limits and session reminders

A loss limit caps net losses rather than deposits, so it catches the habit of replaying winnings. A wager limit caps total stakes, which is useful on fast games such as crash rounds. A session reminder or reality check shows time played and net result at intervals you choose. Use at least one of these alongside the deposit limit.

Take a break: timeout and cooling off period

A timeout, also called cooling off, locks the account for a short time — usually from a day to a few weeks. You cannot log in to play or deposit until it ends, and it cannot be lifted early. It is the right tool when play has stopped being fun but a long exclusion feels like too much.

How to self-exclude

Self-exclusion closes the account for a long period — months or years — or permanently. Request it in the account settings or by writing to support, and ask for written confirmation. During self-exclusion the operator should block access, stop marketing and refuse new accounts in your name. Because it applies only to that operator, also unsubscribe from casino emails, delete casino apps and consider blocking software on your devices so other sites are harder to reach.
